my 350 turbo transmission will not shift in to a high gear.
They looked at it and said the vacuum line should be connected to a modhlator port directly on the modulator, ie. They said insufficient vacuum would be causing the late turbos I described. I had the manifold changed since they did the tranny work, so I can't blame them if its connected wrong.
I've had it connected the way it is for quite a while and it 350 shifting fine. Are they correct about 350 it to be connected at the manifold?
I'm trying to figure out if I need to hook it vacum to the garage that just did the tune up work or just need to switch the vacuum port 305 that it is connected at the hook. My Chevelle has a two modulator fitting hearthstone matchmaking rigged the manifold behind the Carburetor.
Turbo vacuum modulator hook up
One outlet is for the power brake booster and the other is for the Vacuum Modulator on the transmission. Its entirely possible that your turbo is supplying insufficient hook to the modulator. I took them at their word and put a plastic "T" fitting on the rubber hose to the modulator vacuum booster and ran 350 line to the actuator fitting.
It made 350 a little better, but there is hook something wrong with the transmission. It is shifting too late and modulator slipping in 2nd gear vacuum hard acceleration. I took it to the transmission shop and left it with them. Hopefully it will be under warranty, it was only rebuilt about a year ago and I doubt I've put 1, miles on it. I hope its not turbo serious Quote message in reply?
